Graphite India has disposed of entire shareholding in its wholly owned foreign subsidiary - Carbon International Holdings NV (CIH) for a sum of Euro 4.59 million approx. CIH was engaged in trading activities only. CIH thus has ceased to be a subsidiary of the company.
The company is engaged in manufacturing of graphite electrodes. Besides graphite electrodes, the company also manufactures anodes, other miscellaneous carbon and graphite products and calcined petroleum coke. The company has diversified into specialty products namely flexible graphite sheets and tubes, resulting in the setting up of a specialty division at Bangalore and a graphite equipment glass reinforced pipes division at Nashik.
