Reliance Industries rises on entering into pact with Star Cotspin

Reliance Industries is currently trading at Rs. 1020.95, up by 4.15 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 1016.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1019.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1025.45 and Rs. 1015.10 respectively. So far 85188 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1089.50 on 15-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 819.00 on 24-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1051.50 and Rs. 1008.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 330724.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.15% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.25% and 19.50% respectively.

Reliance Industries (RIL) which is also into synthetic fibre manufacturing, has entered into a pact with Bhilwara-based Star Cotspin. As per the agreement, RIL’s Recron SHT will be the basic substrate for polyester sewing threads manufactured by Star Cotspin. This yarn will then be sold, cobranded with Recron SHT.

Apart from branding the products, RIL will also provide marketing and technical support to Star Cotspin. RIL and Star Cotspin will jointly conduct research and development work to further enhance Recron SHT sewing thread’s quality, and will also explore new business opportunities.
