Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) has added 40,000 new mobile subscribers in February. Following the said addition, the company’s total subscriber count stood at 55.30 lakh users with a market share of 0.84%.
Besides, Bharti Airtel has added 18.20 lakh mobile subscribers in February while Idea Cellular has added 25.80 lakh mobile subscribers in February.
MTNL was set up by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, and introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India's key metros -- Delhi and Mumbai.
