NIIT Technologies has entered into a strategic partnership with Morris Communications, a privately held leading media company with headquarters in Augusta, Georgia. This partnership provides for integrated IT & BPO services to Morris Communications for an aggregate amount of $85 million over a period of 5 years. NIIT Technologies will have the controlling interest in the Joint Venture (JV).
Under the terms of agreement, Morris will transfer its key assets including IT infrastructure, people and application landscape to the JV. Following this facility, NIIT will be better able to address growing technology outsourcing business in North America with a near shore facility.
Recently, the company had signed a multi million GBP contract with Eurostar, the high speed passenger service between UK and mainland Europe, to provide infrastructure management services for its core business applications.
NIIT Technologies provides IT solutions to its customers located at North America, Europe, Japan, Asia and Australia. The company offers range of services in area of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL), Retail and Distribution.
