Sugar stocks in demand ahead of EGoM meet

Sugar companies are trading higher as EGoM headed by Finance Minister will meet today to decide on allowing additional export up to 1 million tones of sugar in the 2011-2012 marketing year.

Bajaj Hindusthan is currently trading at Rs. 31.40, up by 0.20 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 31.20 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 32.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.50 and Rs. 30.90 respectively. So far 232038 shares were traded on the counter.

Dhampur Sugar Mills is currently trading at Rs. 43.80, up by 0.40 points or 0.92% from its previous closing of Rs. 43.40 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 44.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 45.30 and Rs. 43.65 respectively. So far 16833 shares were traded on the counter.

Sakthi Sugars is currently trading at Rs. 25.40, up by 0.90 points or 3.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 24.50 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 25.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 26.00 and Rs. 25.20 respectively. So far 15325 shares were traded on the counter.
