GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare slips on reporting 8% fall in Q4 net profit

GlaxoSmithkline Consumer Healthcare is currently trading at Rs. 5827.30, down by 258.70 points or 4.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 6086.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 5899.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 5950.00 and Rs. 5800.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 6800.00 on 23-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5366.50 on 02-Mar-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 6140.00 and Rs. 5800.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24,507.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.46% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.72% and 14.83% respectively.

The company has posted a fall of 8.18% in its net profit at Rs 180.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 196.78 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 8.52% at Rs 1166.4 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1275.02 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.

For the year ended March 31, 2016, the company has posted a rise of 17.70% in its net profit at Rs 686.91 crore as compared to Rs 583.6 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company increased 1.28% at Rs 4587.47 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 4529.48 crore for the period ended March 31, 2015.
