Ambuja Cement has added 0.9 million tonne capacity at its Sankrail grinding unit near Kolkata. The additional capacity at a cost of Rs 338 crore was commissioned on May 24, 2016. Following the capacity addition, the current capacity of the unit stands at 2.4 mt.
Ambuja Cement is a part of a global conglomerate Holcim. The company has five integrated cement manufacturing plants and eight cement grinding units across the country.
