Kwality to increase share of retail sales: Report

Dairy products player Kwality is reportedly planning to increase the share of retail sales to 70% from a current 30% of its turnover in about three years. In this regard, the company will invest Rs 500 crore.

Kwality has roped in a brand ambassador in Hindi film actor Akshay Kumar in order to boost its brand presence to gain market share in the retail segment, and has also roped in Ernst and Young as their IT transformation partner that would help in its transition from a B2B to a B2C company. At present B2B business accounts for nearly 70% of its sales.

Kwality is India’s premier dairy foods company and has built leadership positions in branded and value added markets across the dairy sector. The product range includes milk (bulk pouched and tetra pack), pure ghee, pure cow ghee etc.
