Coal India reports 42.58 MT of production in May 2016

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 42.58 million tonnes (MT) in May 2016, as against target of 44.64 MT, a drop by 4.61%. The company’s total off-take for the month of May was down by 10.55% and stood at 45.53 MT as against a target of 50.90 MT.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
