Physical Rubber prices showed some improvement on Thursday as the market ruled firm on supply concerns following widespread rains all over the plantation areas. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 129/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 128.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 125/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of June delivery firmed up to Rs 128.15 compared to its previous closing of Rs 127.69, while July delivery closed at Rs 128.39 compared to its previous close of Rs 128.24 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
