Suzlon Energy’s arm faces strike at Coimbatore manufacturing facility

Suzlon Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary - SE Forge is facing strike at its Coimbatore manufacturing facility impacting production and dispatches. Approximately 200 confirmed workers started an illegal stay-in strike since March 19, 2012, demanding approximately 25 trainees be absorbed onto the company rolls as permanent employees, in contravention of existing organisational policies.

The factory management and senior management of the company are in discussions with striking employees to resolve the situation.
