Sagar Cements slips on reporting 2% fall in May production

Sagar Cements is currently trading at Rs. 582.10, down by 10.15 points or 1.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 592.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 599.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 599.40 and Rs. 582.10 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 706.50 on 19-May-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 305.10 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 607.50 and Rs. 562.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,012.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.16% and 34.91% respectively.

Sagar Cements has reported the cement production and sales figures for May 2016. The Cement production for May 2016 stood at 133,900 million tonnes (MT), down by 2%, compared to 137,060 MT produced in May 2015. The Cement sales for May 2016 stood at 138,137 MT, down by 15%, compared to 161,807 MT in May 2015.  

Sagar Cements is one of the most modern mini cement plants in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The plant is based on Dry Process Rotary Kiln Technology that is used in ‘Standard Quality' cement companies.
