KCP surges on plan to expand cement production capacity at Andhra Pradesh to 3.5 MTPA

KCP is currently trading at Rs. 91.30, up by 3.95 points or 4.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 87.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 90.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 92.60 and Rs. 89.95 respectively. So far 33,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 101.25 on 20-Oct-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 58.40 on 29-Jun-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.85 and Rs. 80.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,176.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.34% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.57% and 45.10% respectively.

KCP has decided to expand the production capacity of its cement unit located at Muktyala, Krishna District Andhra Pradesh, from 1.8 MTPA to 3.5 MTPA with an expected outlay of approximately Rs 400 crore.

KCP is a diversified business group with interests in Cement, Heavy Engineering, Sugar, Power and IT. It has 9 manufacturing locations over various geographies in India and Vietnam.
