Birla Corporation has suspended work at jute mills unit of the company with effect from March 31, 2012. The company has taken this step consequent to illegal strike and other unlawful activities resorted to by a section of workmen on March 30, 2012.
Birla Corporation operates four division cement, jute, vinoleum and auto trim. It has eight manufacturing facilities located in Pune, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Gurgoan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
