Physical Rubber prices ruled firm on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices ruled firm on Wednesday, supported by the sharp gains in domestic futures. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 134/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 133/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety climbed to 131/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 130/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of July delivery firmed up to Rs 138.63 compared to its previous closing of Rs 133.73, while August delivery closed at Rs 135.54 compared to its previous close of Rs 131.46 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
