V-Guard Industries gains on plan to set up two more manufacturing units

V-Guard Industries is currently trading at Rs. 1364.25, up by 1.45 points or 0.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 1362.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1369.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1373.65 and Rs. 1360.45 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1464.80 on 17-Jun-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 786.60 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1464.80 and Rs. 1344.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,106.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.91% and 9.39% respectively.

V-Guard Industries is planning to set up two more manufacturing units, one for water heaters and another for manufacture of fans. The water heater plant is likely to see investment of about Rs 65 - 75 crore, while the fan unit will cost between Rs 35 crore and 40 crore.

The company is evaluating locations in several States, including Telangana for setting up of these plants. The company has also about 25 acres in Tamil Nadu. The decision on the new plant will be taken by next year.

V-Guard Industries manufactures a wide range of products namely voltage stabilizers, pumps, electric water heaters, solar water heaters, cables, UPS, ceiling fans, etc.
