RCOM zooms on plan to sign binding documentation with MCB and Sindya

Reliance Communications is currently trading at Rs 49.95, up by 2.25 points or 4.72% from its previous closing of Rs. 47.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 50.45 and Rs. 48.20 respectively. So far 4577123 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 91.80 on 01-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 45.65 on 25-Aug-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.80 and Rs. 46.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12469.79 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.77% and 11.94% respectively.

Reliance Communications (RCOM), Maxis Communications Berhad (MCB) and Sindya Securities & Investments (Sindya), the shareholders of Aircel, are expected to sign binding definitive documentation and announce the proposed Transaction for the combination of the Indian wireless business of RCOM and Aircel very shortly. Any such transaction will be subject to regulatory, shareholders’ and other third party approvals.

RCom is engaged in providing information and communications services. It provides telecom services for mobile and fixed line telephony. It offers code division multiple access (CDMA), global system for mobile (GSM), and 3G wireless services, wireline, voice, data, video, internet services.
