Physical Rubber prices ruled firm on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices ruled firm on Thursday, catalysed by the gains in domestic futures. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 136/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 134/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety climbed to 133/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 131/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of July delivery firmed up to Rs 139.35 compared to its previous closing of Rs 138.63, while August delivery closed at Rs 136.24 compared to its previous close of Rs 135.54 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
