Bajaj Finserv is in preliminary talks with its German joint venture (JV) partner Allianz in life and general insurance businesses, on various options. Bajaj Finserv is the financial services unit of Bajaj Holdings and Investments. It has 74 percent stake each in both the ventures.
Earlier in May, there were reports that the testy relationship between Bajaj Finserv and Allianz SE is likely heading to a break-up as they failed to come to a deal on giving a higher stake to the German financial services company in their joint venture insurance firms.
Bajaj Finserv a part of Bajaj Auto, has established itself as a financial power house with interests in insurance, lending, asset management and wealth management.
