Coal India reports 42.72 MT of production in June 2016

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 42.72 million tonnes (MT) in June 2016, as against target of 43.31 MT, a drop by 1.36%. The company’s total off-take for the month of June was down by 5.39% and stood at 44.96 MT as against a target of 47.52 MT.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
