JSW Steel reports highest ever crude steel production of 3.87 MT for Q1FY17

JSW Steel has reported highest ever quarterly crude steel production of 3.87 million tonnes (MT) for Q1 FY2016-17, with a growth of over 14% over the corresponding quarter (Q1 FY2015-16) and 21% over sequential quarter (Q4 FY2015-16).

The production of rolled products (long) increased to 0.85 MT in Q1 FY2016-17 compared to 0.69 MT over the corresponding quarter, representing a growth of 23%. The production of rolled products (flat) during the quarter increased to 2.74 MT as compared to 2.50 MT in Q1 FY2015-16, an increase of 9%.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
