Nifty July futures saw addition of 0.62 million (mn) units, taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 22.06 million (mn) units. The near month derivatives contract will expire on July 28, 2016.
From the most active contracts, State Bank of India July 2016 futures traded at a premium of 0.15 points at 231.85 compared with spot closing of 232.00. The number of contracts traded were 24,432.
PNB July 2016 futures traded at a discount of 0.10 points at 132.85 compared with spot closing of 132.95. The number of contracts traded were 18,330.
Infy July 2016 futures traded at a premium of 3.95 points at 1180.20 compared with spot closing of 1176.25. The number of contracts traded were 15,233.
Canara Bank July 2016 futures traded at a discount of 1.20 points at 254.30 compared with spot closing of 255.50. The number of contracts traded were 14,273.
Tata Steel July 2016 futures traded at a discount of 6.25 points at 353.05 compared with spot closing of 359.30. The number of contracts traded were 13,876.
