Congress Party Spokesman Randeep Surjewala said that the NDA government should end what he called its ‘Racketeer Raj’. ‘Government should end this Racketeer Raj, open their eyes and take decisive actions, farmers are giving dal at Rs 46 per kilogram, but the government is selling it at rupees 200 to rupees 250 per kilogram, who is pocketing this money? That is an answer we seek from Modi government’.

He said that the common man pleads and middlemen continue to take money on dal. Dal continues to sell at 200 rupees per kilogram, tomatoes sell at 80 rupees per kilogram, milk, bread and grain have become scare commodities in the plate of the common person in this country, while Modiji continues to protect those who are orderers, racketeers and profiteers.

The congress party is protesting against the rise in the inflation rate and has also planned to bring this matter to light in parliament during the monsoon session. Responding to Union Minister M. Venkitesh Naidu’s statement that the congress is responsible for inflation, Surjewala said that Venkaiah Naidu should open his eyes, he is their senior and should not act like a blind man. Dal was sold at 70 Rupees per kilogram in May 2014, and now, it is being sold at 330 per kilogram. He said ‘It has been two years of the Modi’s government, is Naidu going to tell us who is getting the rest of the money? The question is whether the BJP is also getting the share from this money?’
