LT Foods fails to acquire two offshore companies

LT Foods plans to acquire two offshore companies in Europe did not materialized. The company was contemplating to acquire 'Rice N Spice International and A & A International’. Rice N Spice International and A & A International are engaged in distribution business of basmati rice and other food products.

Earlier, LT Foods had decided to acquire 'Rice N Spice International and A & A International’ for total consideration of Euro 3,23,000 approximately. The decision to acquire the company was taken at their board meeting held on April 13, 2011 and LT Foods would convert them as wholly owned subsidiaries.

LT Foods, formerly known as LT Overseas, is the leading processor and exporter of packaged rice under the flagship brand ‘Daawat’.
