Godrej Consumer Products has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2016.
The company has reported rise of 11.97% in its net profit after tax at Rs 151.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016, as compared to Rs 135.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income decreased marginally by 0.87% to Rs 1076.05 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1085.50 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
On the consolidated basis, the company has reported over two fold jump in its net profit at Rs 244.27 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 116.72 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased 6.46% to Rs 2136.83 crore for quarter under review from Rs 2007.20 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
In view of acquisitions and changes in the company's shareholding in some of the subsidiaries, the consolidated results for the current period are not strictly comparable with those of the previous period.
