Alstom T&D India has been awarded a contract worth Rs 150 crore by the Jaypee Group for the Thermal Power Project (3x660 MW) in Uttar Pradesh. Jaypee Group is diversified infrastructure conglomerate and has a presence in construction and engineering with interests in the power, cement, hospitality, real estate and expressways.
The scope of work includes designing, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 765kv generator transformers, interconnecting transformers, lines and bus reactors.
Alstom T&D India is the first company in India to have locally manufactured and commissioned 765kv class generator transformers and interconnecting transformers in the country. The transformers and reactors for this project will be manufactured at Alstom’s state-of-the-art facility at Vadodara.
Areva T&D India is a leading player in the Power Transmission and Distribution business upto Extra High Voltage levels (765 kV) and is prepared to meet the demands for equipments and services even at Ultra High Voltage levels (1200 kV).
