JSW Steel’s crude steel production rises 19% in July 2016

JSW Steel’s crude steel production in July 2016 grew 19% and stood at 13.37 lakh tonnes (LT) as compared to 11.26 LT in July 2015. The production of rolled products (long) increased to 3.04 LT compared to 2.28 LT in July last year, representing a growth of 33%. The production of rolled products (flat) during the month increased to 9.52 LT as compared to last year’s level of 9.06 LT.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
