Shoppers Stop's wholly owned subsidiary Crossword Bookstores has closed one ‘Crossword’ franchise store located at Jaipur with effect from March 31, 2012. With the closing of this store, there are now 85 'Crossword' stores.
Recently, Shoppers Stop had closed down one 'Mothercare' stand alone store located at Kuppu Arcade in Chennai.
Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. It runs a chain of departmental stores with brands including Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop, Crossword, Cafes and Restaurants etc.
