GE Shipping rises on taking delivery of secondhand vessel 'Jag Pooja'

GE Shipping is currently trading at Rs. 353.00, up by 1.70 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 351.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 355.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 355.00 and Rs. 353.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 420.00 on 10-Nov-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 275.00 on 02-Mar-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 368.25 and Rs. 350.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,376.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.49%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.27% and 27.24% respectively.

The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) took delivery of a Secondhand Medium Range Product Tanker 'Jag Pooja' (2005 Built) of about 48,539 dwt. The company had contracted to buy the vessel in July 2016.

With the inclusion of this vessel, the Company's current fleet stands at 36 vessels, comprising 24 tankers (7 crude carriers, 15 product tankers, 2 LPG carrier) and 12 dry bulk carriers (1 Capesize, 6 Kamsarmax, 5 Supramax) with an average age of 9.19 years aggregating 2.80 inn dwt.
