NMDC has reported 9.55 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore production and logged sales volume of 10.20 MT up to July 2016. The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 5.84 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 6.45 MT, while Karnataka mines produced 3.71 MT of iron ore and sold 3.75 up to July 2016.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
