Country’s second largest IT firm Infosys will add 35,000 more employees this fiscal, including 13,000 for its Business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.
In the fourth quarter of FY12, Infosys and its subsidiaries have added 10,676 employees, while the net addition during the period stood at 4,906 people. The company’s total employee strength stood at 1,49,994 as on March 31, 2012.
Infosys reported a 27.4% jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,316 crore for Q4 FY12, as against Rs 1,818 crore in the January-March quarter of FY11. The company's rate of attrition (excluding subsidiaries on last twelve month (LTM) basis) has come down slightly to 14.7% in the reported quarter against 15.4% in the October-December quarter of 2011-12.
