BASF India aims Rs 1,000 crore revenue from Dahej plant

Chemicals producer BASF India is aiming revenue of about Rs 1,000 crore from its new plant at Dahej in Gujarat which will be operational from 2014. The Dahej plant will mainly cater to the western and the northern regions, while its Mangalore plant in Karnataka will cater to the eastern, central and southern regions.

Recently, the company’s board approved the proposal for setting up a new production facility at Dahej.  The total cost of the setting up of site is estimated to be Rs 1,000 crore and the same will be financed through internal accruals and loans.

BASF manufactures tanning agents, crop protection chemicals, textile chemicals and automotive and coil coatings, construction chemicals, among others.
