Esab India has implemented a voluntary separation scheme for all permanent workmen and permanent graded staff, who are on the rolls of the company and are at its Taratala plant in Kolkata. The Board of Directors have accorded their approval to the voluntary separation scheme on August 31, 2016. The scheme would be effective from August 30, 2016. The scheme envisages a total financial outgo of about Rs 1.8 crore.
Esab India is into welding business. It provides welding consumables (which include welding electrodes, copper coated wires and welding fluxes) and welding equipment (which includes welding machines and cutting equipment). It develops products for shipbuilding, petrochemical, construction, transport, offshore, energy and repair and maintenance industries.
