Coal India reports 32.43 million tonnes of production in August 2016

Coal India, the world’s largest coal miner by output, has reported provisional production of 32.43 million tonnes in August 2016, as against a target of 40.89 million tonnes. The company’s total off-take for the month of August stood at 36.72 million tones, as against a target of 44.51 million tonnes.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
