According to the data released by NSE, the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net buyers of Rs 1620.15 crore in futures and options segments on Wednesday, April 18, 2012.
FIIs were buyers of index futures to the tune of Rs 589.46 crore and they bought index options worth Rs 1405.35 crore. In the stock segment, FII’s were net sellers of stock futures worth Rs 297.00 crore, and they also sold stock options worth Rs 77.66 crore.
Cumulative FII positions as percentage of total gross market position in the derivative segment as on April 18, 2012 is 30.95%.
