NMDC, the country’s top iron ore miner, has fixed the prices of iron ore with effect from October 05, 2016. The prices of Lump Ore have been fixed at Rs 2,100 wet metric tonnes (WMT), while the prices of Fines have been fixed at Rs 1,760 WMT. The Ore prices are excluding Royalty, DMF, NMET, Cess, Forest Permit Fee etc.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
