Piramal Enterprises is reportedly targeting to be among the top three players in the $2.2-billion over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products business in four years. At present, the company is at seventh slot.
With Rs 15,000 crore in cash and investments on the books of Piramal Enterprises, the company has already made six acquisitions for the health care business in the past two years. Three of these were made in the OTC business.
Piramal Enterprises is engaged in the business of pharmaceuticals, including research and development, financial services and information management through its subsidiaries.
