UltraTech Cement reports 25% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

UltraTech Cement has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company has reported 31.40% rise in its net profit at Rs 601.05 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 457.41 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income decreased by 1.60% to Rs 6368.13 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 6471.87 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 25.27% rise in its net profit after taxes and minority interest at Rs. 614.30 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs. 490.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total Income of the company decreased by 2.01% to Rs. 6667.50 crore for quarter under review from Rs. 6804.15 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016.
