Chambal Fertilisers’ gains after promoter hikes stake

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 63.35, up by 0.30 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 63.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 63.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 63.70 and Rs. 63.00 respectively. So far 4,646 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 73.40 on 30-Jun-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.85 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 64.50 and Rs. 56.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,621.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.34%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.85% and 21.80% respectively.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals’ promoter -- The Hindustan Times -- has increased stake in the company through open market purchase. Hindustan Times has bought 100,000 shares representing 0.02% stake in the company on October 13, 2016. Post acquisition, Hindustan Times stake in Chambal Fertilisers increased to 12.557% from 12.533% earlier.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals is one of the largest private sector fertilizer producers in India. It has three divisions catering agri products, shipping & textiles.
