Gujarat Pipavav Port slips on reporting 32% fall in Q2 net profit

Gujarat Pipavav Port is currently trading at Rs. 166.15, down by 3.30 points or 1.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 169.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 171.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 173.95 and Rs. 162.10 respectively. So far 128627 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 197.35 on 09-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 136.60 on 30-Dec-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 173.95 and Rs. 162.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8046.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.01%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 50.66% and 6.33% respectively.

Gujarat Pipavav Port has reported 32.09% fall in its net profit of Rs 59.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 87.48 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 15.95% at Rs 184.12 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 158.79 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.    

Gujarat Pipavav Port is the developer and operator of APM Terminals Pipavav, India's first private sector port, which has multi-cargo and multi-user operations.
