Ramco Cements drops despite reporting 46% rise in Q2 net profit

Ramco Cements is currently trading at Rs. 595.00, down by 21.10 points or 3.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 616.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 584.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 608.10 and Rs. 570.00 respectively. So far 13782 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 685.35 on 14-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 354.55 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 623.80 and Rs. 570.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14162.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.30%, while institutions and non-institutions held 43.48% and 14.22% respectively.

Ramco Cements has reported 45.60% rise in its net profit at Rs 207.01 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 142.18 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 13.80% at Rs 1174.15 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1031.73 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
