JSW Steel reports 26% growth in crude steel production in Q4FY12

JSW Steel has reported 26% growth in crude steel production in Q4FY12 as compared to corresponding period of last fiscal year. The company has posted a total crude steel production of 2.07 million tonnes, of which, production of Rolled Product (Flat) stood at 1.49 million tonnes while, production of Rolled Product (Long) stood at 0.47 million tonnes.

The company’s crude steel production for the year 2011-12 was 7.43 million tonnes, witnessing 16% growth over previous year. The company gave the guidance of 8.75 million tonnes of crude steel production in the beginning of FY 2011-12.

JSW Steel is part of the JSW group which, in turn, is a part of the O P Jindal group. JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
