Jagran Prakashan gains on its arm's plan to raise up to Rs 400 crore via IPO

Jagran Prakashan is currently trading at Rs. 170.50, up by 1.00 points or 0.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 169.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 178.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 180.00 and Rs. 170.40 respectively. So far 13,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 213.00 on 08-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 142.00 on 26-Nov-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 180.00 and Rs. 167.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,659.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.28% and 10.96% respectively.

Jagran Prakashan’s subsidiary - Music Braodcast (MBL) is planning to raise up to Rs 400 crore through initial public offer (IPO). The board of MBL, which operates the popular Radio City FM stations, in a meeting held on November 24, 2016 approved the IPO of the company. MBL has send a letter of transmittal to its shareholders seeking their participation in the offer for sale portion of the IPO.

Jagran Prakashan has business interests in area of newspapers, outdoor, internet, magazines, below the line marketing solutions, and mobile value added services.
