Surana Solar surges on bagging EPC, O&M contract of 10MW Solar Power Plant at Odisha

Surana Solar is currently trading at Rs. 24.00, up by 2.15 points or 9.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 21.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 24.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 25.10 and Rs. 23.90 respectively. So far 54,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 39.75 on 07-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 19.00 on 24-Jun-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 25.10 and Rs. 20.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 118.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.89%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.67% and 25.43% respectively.

Surana Solar has been awarded an EPC contract for Design, Engineering, Procurement & Supply, Construction & Erection, Testing, Commissioning, Associated Transmission System & Comprehensive Operation & Maintenance for 10 years of 10MW (AC) Solar Power Plant by Paradip Port Trust, Odisha (India).

The total EPC contract awarded is Rs 60.60 crore and for O&M works for ten years is Rs 4.75 crore which is more than 50% of the turnover of the financial year 2015-16.

Surana Solar is engaged in the business of manufacturing of solar panels/photo-voltaic (PV) cells. The company is also engaged in the generation of wind power energy and trading of other solar related products.
