Tata Steel surges on inking MoU with Odisha Government

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 415.05, up by 6.00 points or 1.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 409.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 407.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 415.90 and Rs. 404.65 respectively. So far 685406 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 440.90 on 11-Nov-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 211.30 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 417.35 and Rs. 380.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 40344.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35%, while institutions and non-institutions held 42.13% and 26.51% respectively.

Tata Steel, the flagship company of the Tata Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Odisha for constructing 30 Model Schools in different non-educationally backward blocks in Odisha. The company aims to bring quality education infrastructure for students in far flung areas of the state. Tata Steel, in consonance with its philosophy and social responsibilities will construct the 30 model schools in 30 blocks in the districts of Jajpur, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Cuttack, Nayagarh and Dhenkanal.
