NMDC gains on receiving nod for strategic disinvestment of Nagarnar Steel Plant

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 119.35, up by 2.85 points or 2.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 116.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 120.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 120.00 and Rs. 118.35 respectively. So far 1,05,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 142.65 on 02-Nov-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 75.20 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 125.25 and Rs. 115.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 37,761.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 80.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.33% and 2.66% respectively.

NMDC has received CCEA approval for strategic disinvestment of its Nagarnar Steel Plant. The Government of India, Ministry of Steel has communicated the ‘in-principle’ decision of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) of Government of India to consider strategic disinvestment of the Nagarnar Steel Plant of NMDC.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
