Vikas WSP in jubilant mood on commencing work on building new plant

Vikas WSP is currently trading at Rs. 59.40, up by 2.50 points or 4.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 56.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 55.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 59.50 and Rs. 55.35 respectively. So far 553025 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 76.20 on 12-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9.36 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.80 and Rs. 55.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 808.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 14.67% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.48% and 77.84% respectively.

Vikas WSP has started building a new plant at Boronada Industrial area in Jodhpur on April 28, 2012. The company has taken this step in order to meet out the increasing global demand of guar gum polymers. The new plant's annual production capacity would be 38400MT.

The plant will be capable to generate an additional annual export turnover of Rs 4,608 crore. Further, the plant in question is expected to commence its commercial production for export by the end of December 2012.

Vikas WSP is one of India's foremost guar gum powder (GGP) manufacturer, supplying to all sectors of the food industry with an extensive range of quality products.
