BPCL moves higher on inking consortium agreement with HPCL, IOC

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) is currently trading at Rs. 637.55, up by 5.55 points or 0.88 % from its previous closing of Rs. 632.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 636.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 640.45 and Rs. 635.30 respectively. So far 15919 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 694.75 on 18-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 366.10 on 23-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 640.45 and Rs. 599.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 92265.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.06% and 15.01% respectively.

BPCL has inked a Consortium Agreement with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) on December 07, 2016 to carry out pre-project activities for setting up of a West Coast Refinery & Petrochemical project of approximately 60 MMTPA capacity in the State of Maharashtra through a Joint Venture Company (JVC).

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
