Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.
The company has reported a net loss of Rs 731.58 crore for the quarter under review as compared to a net loss of Rs 1108.04 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 20.69% at Rs 12645.76 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 10478.08 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
SAIL is India’s largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country’s Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
