Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Tuesday

Physical Rubber prices showed some firmness on Tuesday, catalysed by the sharp gains in the global trendsetters. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 131/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 129.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety climbed to 126/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 125/ kg.

In the futures market, December delivery improved to Rs 133.32 compared to its previous closing of Rs 128.39, while January delivery closed at Rs 137.88 compared to its previous close of Rs 132.58 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
